Ah, Easter* huh… Japanese people aren’t very familiar with this holiday.
Adonis: Is that so? That’s unexpected. Japan’s culture is really unique.
Koga: You know a lot about holiday events, don’t you, playboy?
Kaoru: Of course~ I have to properly remember the holidays, or I’ll be disliked by the girls
……Anyway, what do Easter and that earlier issue have to do with each other?
Rei: Hmm. Actually…… There are a lot of complications. During Easter, my relatives carry out a ritual as well.
Basically, it’s like young people imitating the spring harvest.** As the next head of the family, I receive blood……
That ritual is carried out by my relatives periodically.
It’s a ridiculous old tradition, so I’ve been using our busyness as an excuse to ignore it, but……
But after the DDD ended and my situation calmed down, everyone in my family had been growing impatient.
Everyone started to worry if I’d be able to perform the ritual properly, or if I’d make a mess
They wouldn’t give up for eternity, so I thought I’d get through with it quickly
And pick someone who’s close and is suitable.
Kaoru: Ehh, I don’t really understand it but it sounds meaningless and humiliating……!
Rei: Kukuku. I don’t want you to misunderstand, but it’s because you’re Kaoru-kun that I’m asking you.
Earlier I was still half asleep and ended up rushing. But the more I thought about it, the more I realised you were the right person.
I beg of you. Won’t you consider helping me and let me suck your blood……?
Kaoru: Even if you ask me with those cute puppy eyes, I won’t do it! I hate being physical, it’s disgusting!
Rei: Sob sob. You’re really blunt aren’t you?
Don’t worry, I won’t bite your neck like they do in horror movies. Blood gets pricked with a needle beforehand and is mixed into grape wine that one drinks later.

The deceased can’t be used in an offering, that’s why Wanko can’t be selected.

Adonis: Sakuma-senpai. I have a suggestion. Is it impossible for you take my blood?
I have been in your care, so I want to repay you. Unlike Oogami, I don’t recall having participated in that ritual. So it shouldn’t be a problem.
I have a big and healthy body, so I’m suited to donate blood. If you’re fine with it, you can drink as much as you want.
To force someone who’s unwilling…… That’s immoral. I don’t think it’s good to be forceful.
Koga: Huh? Immoral and violent? Don’t make me laugh! Wasn’t extreme immorality supposed to be our selling point?

*T/N: The first Easter is written in kanji (復活祭), which Kaoru than translates to the English word (イースター)
**Okay this part confused me a bit. Rei says 春の収穫物 which I translated as spring harvest. But I’m honestly not sure if this is what he means, but that’s mostly because I’m not very familiar with spring harvest itself and what it exactly is.
***Koga says 抜け殻 which translates husk/empty shell/cast-off skin, and I guess he calls Rei that because he shed off his cool old self. And turned into this uncool thing.
